SSL

Google have said that they want all web sites to start with https:// – so basically they want to add an “S”

This “s” is a secure certificate that tells people that the web site is safe to use. This shows up as a padlock next to your web address

SSL Certificates activate the built-in security of web servers, browsers and applications. They cause them to the encrypt data.

Google have said they will be starting to mark all web sites in the google search engine without the “s” as “Not Secure” in Chrome – they have also said that they will downgrade a web site in the google search that doesn’t have the “S”.

We will be offering 2 types of SSL Certificates.

Our SSL included in every package doesn’t come with a warranty – it’s really the easiest way of getting google to accept the web site as secure – Domain Validated (DV)

For an Extra £175 a year – you can have a secure certificate has a $10,000 warranty that protects against mis-issuance – The warranty covers the person buying from the site rather than you the owner of the site. – Domain Validated (DV)

The warranty that you get when you purchase an SSL certificate (up to $10,000K) can be misleading. Essentially, all it covers is mis-issuance – so for example if an SSL was signed incorrectly (IE a not-working SSL despite being properly installed), that would be mis-issuance of an SSL certificate. What it doesn’t cover is if a customer installs it incorrectly, or it’s installed incorrectly on a server etc. It’s only if the certificate is mis-issued.
